Abby Baker is a second year graduate student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oklahoma at Norman. She is interested in approaching the study of gender, sexuality and the body using the feminist methodology of intersectionality. She is currently doing research on women’s bodybuilding as a deviant subculture and investigating student reactions to online sexual misconduct training.
Prior to coming to OU, Abby received her B.A. in Sociology and Philosophy from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, she studied abroad in Florence, Italy where she became further interested in of criminology, deviance, and social and political philosophy.
