Robert Crutchfield, Professor of Sociology at the University of Washington, served as the Department of Sociology’s 2015 Distinguished Speaker. As our distinguished speaker, he gave both a research presentation and a public lecture on Thursday, March 26. His talks focused on his ongoing research on crime, labor markets, and race and ethnicity and the research underlying his recent book, Get a Job: Labor Markets, Economic Opportunity, and Crime (2014, NYU Press).
